Working on SK Steak & Oyster with Richards & Spence was all about precision, polish, and atmosphere. From day one, it was clear this wasn’t just another restaurant fitout, it was going to be a standout venue that set the tone for Brisbane dining. The brief was ambitious: create a space that felt timeless, luxurious, and effortless all at once. That meant every surface, joint, and fixture needed to be perfect. We worked hand-in-hand with the architects to make sure every detail reflected the quality and calm of their design. From custom marble tops and curved timber finishes to the mirrored bar and moody lighting, every part of the build had to work together seamlessly.

The logistics were tight, too. Being located within The Calile Hotel meant careful planning around site access, noise, and timing. We coordinated closely with hotel operations and other trades to keep everything moving smoothly without disruption. The end result is a beautifully balanced venue that feels as good as it looks. SK Steak & Oyster is a true example of what can be achieved when architecture and construction work in sync, and we’re proud to have brought it to life.
